About Us

I would like to introduce myself and write a brief history about my career path and skills development.

My name is Josep Trilla, I grew up in a family of farmers in the North East of Spain, I leaned about crops, drove tractors and combine harvesters. At an early age, my father taught me how to weld, and pretty soon I started to disassemble pieces and get to know a little bit of mechanics.

Despite my father’s discontent to leave the farmer’s tradition, I took the Electrical Technician Certification and worked for a company for a couple of years, all that experience helped me to master the electrical profession and started my own business, first an ownership, then, a shared partnership with my wife: Electricitat Trilla S.L. and later another on construction: Trilla-Castello S.L.

I became skilled on electromechanics as I was running the maintenance of a pet food factory. I gradually took all the licenses I needed to be able to do the projects I was offered. Not only the electrician licenses, but also plumbing, heating & cooling, gas, oil, IP1, photovoltaic, alternative energies and welding, which are all valid licenses throughout Europe.

We have always stood out for our professionalism, our greatest values being reliability and honesty.

In Canada 2012, I started a business named Handyman: Customer, Projects, and Services, in Toronto, Ontario. Without validated Canadian licenses yet, I helped different contractors on projects and did a variety of construction and renovation jobs such as tiling, flooring, carpentry, decks, drywall, fireplaces, kitchens/basements/bathroom renovations.

I moved to Alberta and in 2019 I started the company Trilla LTD, again, I offer all kinds of handyman services and renovation for our clients.
